National Outdoor Leadership School
I was a Design Intern and Full-Time Designer for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
NOLS is an international non-profit outdoor education school dedicated to teaching environmental ethics, technical outdoors skills, wilderness medicine, risk management and judgment, and leadership on extended wilderness expeditions and in traditional classrooms.

I used a custom content management system to design several pages on the website that represented the new design and NOLS brand.
After the launch of the new website, the school received positive reviews. The Executive Director said, “Updating the website aims to ensure our relevance in today’s fast-moving world as well as better serve prospective students who are unfamiliar with NOLS.” Read more about the positive change here.

I designed the landing page templates for the NOLS Prime and Outdoor Educator courses. These interactive PDFs and landing pages are online promotional materials for prospective Prime and Outdoor Educator Courses on the website.
Prospective students are now able to choose from a list of electronic brochures based on their personal interest in outdoor education via the request info page on the main website.

I designed Snapchat Geofilter templates for students and Snapchat users at all NOLS locations worldwide.
The goal of this project was to increase student and participant engagement on social media before and after their expeditions; giving them a chance to share a personal experience that encompassed the new NOLS brand.
